Default Pricing Tier on SQL Server For New Created Database RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have SQL Server on Azure where all my databases are under "Basic" Pricing Tier.

My application use to create new databases programmatically "using Create database something" whenever new database is required. The problem is that, whenever new database is created under Server, the default pricing tier is "S0" but I want default pricing tier to be "Basic". I have to take care for newly created database everyday and configure them to "Basic" tier manually.

Is there anything where we can set Default Tier "Basic" on the sql server itself.
