    the installation failed for clients with the following errors

    • CcmSetup failed with error code 0x8004100e
    • CcmGetOSVersion failed with 0x8004100e

    • SCCM Verion 2012 R2  (Upgraded from 2012)
    • Client O.S 2008 R2 SP1

  • That's a straight up WMI issue. You should *repair* WMI on that system (do not delete the repository particularly since it is a server). Start with WMIDiag.

  • Can you please post the entire relevant snippet of the ccmsetup.log? Paraphrased error messages and codes are generally meaningless and don't help troubleshoot issues.
