  • Hi,

Client object model doesn't provide this functionality for the same, but web service provide the same. You may refer this article for web service

  • Hi Satyam,

That does not help much because I mentioned a thread that already said that you can not do much with Alerts in Client Object Model..

And about web services, this is only msdn link.. I need something more helpful with examples to use Web Services without Visual Studio and only call it through JQuery ...

  • Ok .. this is some how general... lets dig inside more to my problem..

I want to be able to create and delete alerts without needing to deploy code to server side, so I went to see Client Object Model, I found that there is no much you can do with alerts, basically not much in anything you can do.

Now went for web services, and what you gave me here is for lists.asmx and I want to alerts.asmx, the reason I am looking for alerts only because it is limited, and I can't do by web services what I want to do in alerts, there is only 2 methods GetAlerts and DeleteAlerts.

Now Web Services makes you able to delete the alert but not able to create it.

We can understand from this that Client Object neither Web Services can do what I want.

I am here to know am I right or wrong?? Am I missing something didn't search out for ... should I go now for .net code and that's the way to do it. The idea is I always believe there is more than one way for everything.

    Please advise.
