Issue while accessing resources RRS feed

  • An organization have two sites i.e. Head office and a branch office. They have PDC at head office and RODC at branch office. These two sites are connected by two ways – one is MPLS and other is site to site vpn. They have secondary DNS and DHCP at branch office and file server is also at branch office. 

         When MPLS link goes down the AD replication is happening using site to site VPN. The user authentication is happening by RODC. But users are not been able to access file server.  What could be the reason?

    Thank you for posting in our TechNet forum.

    According to our description "But users are not been able to access file server", would you please tell us:

    1. What error message do we receive when users are not been able to access file server?

    2. Is the file server the PDC or RODC or one separate member server?

    3. Is file server in Head office or a branch office?

    4. Are users be able to access file server when MPLS link is running? Or when the users are able to access file server?
