SharePoint 2013 office web app error - Unable to open document

Hello All,

I have setup SharePoint 2013 and Office Web Apps Server 2013 which meet all the system requirements. I have setup the OWA server to allow for HTTP in my test environment.

When I try to open any document I get the below error message

Sorry, there was a problem and we can’t open this document. If this happens again, try opening the document in Microsoft Word

I have my SharePoint site created on http without a host header. My SP site url is http://servername:portnumber

I also checked the article

Hi

It is a little tricky to get SP2013 and WAC (Office Web Apps) connected the first time. 2 things to check:

1. Does the url work from the WAC server: http://servername/hosting/discovery http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219455.aspx#scenario1

2. Verify that you are not using the SP system account to test docs. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431687.aspx

2. Change the AllowOAuthOverHttp setting in SharePoint 2013 to True http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431687.aspx#oauth

Check out Steve Peschka's blog on this. I made some comments on the blog when I ran into issues with http/https. Make sure you set your IIS bindings when moving this to https.
