  • The monitor which generate the alert may be a health rollup monitor. Open the health explorer to see any underlying error/warning status.

  • HI,

It's not a health Roll up monitor...

    Thanks, Shiva ravichandran.

  • 1. at first , you alert came from  web application monitoring availability monitor and the alert is similar to this.

    2) Open the alert and click alert content tab to see what is the error. In my case, the error come from status code 401. 401 means authentication error.

    3) double click the monitor and select "View and Validate tests" tab. click "change configuration"

    4) In the default configuration, you can view that alert  come from setting that "status code more than or equal to 400 will generate error"

  • Hi Sys Guy,

The alerts are trigerring for all the web application configurations in our environment and even the alerts are coming for the web application which are having 401 status code error and successfully passed one as well.

And please let me know what is the default test time-out time?

    Thanks, Shiva ravichandran.

  • View Web application unavailable alerts alert context. What is the context information?
Without knowing the error code, it is hardly to identify the issue.
Default test time out is 45 seconds which you can modify by clicking "change Configuration" button on monitor properties.
