    Question

  • Hi

I've followed the below article to setup my App domain for SharePoint Store apps

    http://sharepointchick.com/archive/2012/07/29/setting-up-your-app-domain-for-sharepoint-2013.aspx

Users can add apps and install them however when we click on the apps we get cannot display the webpage.

    http://intranet.uk.ourdomain.com/IT/_layouts/15/appredirect.aspx?instance_id=a72b7806%2Dca1a%2D41c7%2D974e%2D6f7145def00c

I've added a CNAME record to our domain called *.app in our UK.ourdomain.com forward lookup zone and configured the APP url's in CA.

Im guessing this is a problem with my configuration with DNS somewhere. ideally I would like our apps domain to be, app.uk.ourdomain.com

Any help would be very much appreciated!

  • if you are using host headers on your intranet site then you need to have a SharePoint site created without host headers sitting on port 80 for the redirection to work.

    I had the same problem.

  • Glad that resolved your issue Andrew :)

Francis, do what Andrew said. Create a new web application without Host Headers and you should be good.

I've created a new web app just as the server name on port 80 without any host headers and all is working!

    Thanks very much!
