Task 100% Complete in Less Hours Worked RRS feed

  • A Project Manager assigned a Task to a Resource:

    Task: Design submission
    Duration: 2 days
    Work: 16 hrs

    Resource completes his task in 10 hrs.

    How that task is said to be 100% completed in less hours work done be resource?

  • Hi Noman,

    Once the Project assignment (WBS) is final for the current requirement, then we have to do the Baseline for the project.

    Once Baseline is done, ask the resource to enter the timesheet against the tasks, in your case the actual is 10Hours, and the remaining hours will be 10Hours, against the task. 

    Go to tasks in the quick launch, and search for the respective task, and in that change the remaining hours to "0" and submit the status to Status manager for approval, stating that the resource has completed the work (100%).

    if the project manager check the EV analysis view, by comparing the baselined value, it will clearly state that the resource has completed the task ahead, before the planned hours.
