Accidentaly Deleted All Permissions for The SharePoint List

    Question

  • Hi all,

I wanted to create unique permissions for the list I created. However, I deleted accidentaly all of the super users and left only two users with intention to change their permissions to Full Access.

The problem is though as soon as I removed the super user group I was part of I got Access Denied.

Link to the list is visible from the main page and I can open it, but I cannot edit list settings, or delete the list.

Is there any way to regain the permissions for the list, or at least delete it because it has only one field and is useless (even worse since it is visible by two users it is getting in the way)?

    Thank You

  • It seems like you are not a site collection admin to the site your are working on. If not, you cannot grant access by yourself once your remove yourself from the list permissions.. Ask you site collection administrator (SCA) to delete the list or grant "Full Control" access to the list you are referring.

    Thanks,
