how to exclude users from people search results

  • I have a scenario as below

    there are some users who left organization their profiles will be updated in their name and email address atarting with "Leavers". now i want to hide people who are contains leavers in their name and email. plz advise

    sharepoint 2010 is the environment

  • There are 2 places in the search center template where people search results appear by default:

    1. peopleresults.aspx - People Search Core Results web part
    2. results.aspx - People Matches web part

    Both of the web parts mentioned above expose the "Append Text To Query" property (under "Results Query Options" category) you can use it to append additional criteria to the user's search query. Simply set the property value to the following to filter by email address.

    NOT workemail:Leavers
    Refer to the Keyword Query Syntax Reference if you'd like to refine the query further.

  • after refering the below url's i have applied filter query after it has resolved my problem
