How can I add the UIVersion (integer) field to a view? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to use the [Version] field on the list with comparison operators like (>, <,>=, <=). The problem is  the field that is displayed on the form is the [UIVersionfield] which is a string. Because of this, the results of the view aren't correct. Looking at the schema of the list, I see another field named [UIVerison] that is of type integer. (There's another fields named [Version] also). Is it possible to use these fields? I need this to work through the UI and not in code.

  • I was able to get this to work using this article http://sanjaymungar.blogspot.com/2010/10/programatically-change-hidden-value-of.html .

It didn't really help though since the [UI Version] turned out to be something totally different.

There is a field called [owshiddenfield] that shows the version number and is an integer. That might be useful if you want to display that.
