RDP-Windows does not close (Black Screen) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I have a Problem with my Setup.
I have created a Remote Desktop Gateway (Server 2012R2) and a terminal server (Server 2012 R2). If I connect to the terminal server via the RD-Gateway everything works fine. But if I „sign out“ the remote desktop window doesn´t close. I get only a black screen which I must close manually. The sessions on the terminal server and the RD-Gateway close correctly.
This issue exists only when I am connected via the office network to the internet.
If I am connected to another network the session close correctly when I sign out. Have anybody an Idea what I can do to solve this issue?

    Regards,

    griesel

  • Hi,

Does the issue occur to different user accounts and client systems?

What's the OS that client system is running on?

Are there any related events logged on client system?

Terminal and Remote Desktop services logs are under

Event Viewer -> Applications and Services Logs\ Microsoft\ Windows

    Best Regards,

    Amy

  • Hi,

thanks for your replay. I have checked the log but cannot detect a problem.

It is a Windows 7 System.

    Any Idea?

  • Hi,

The Black screen is an often heard issue and easy to fix

Create a GPO with the registry key:  [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client]
    "EnableAdvancedRemoteFXRemoteAppSupport"=dword:00000000

Do this on client and Session host.
