WLAN AutoConfig service stops when I see the logon screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using Dell XPS L502X (Intel Centrino Advanced N 6230 card). Whenever the logon screen appears, the WLAN AutoConfig service stops and when the desktop appears the service starts. The scenario is this: I use remote desktop connection  to connect to this laptop and when I use WiFi for the purpose, I can connect using RDC, but as soon as I enter the user credentials, I can see Welcome but since the logon screen appears in this laptop, the WLAN AutoConfig service stops and so the connection gets disconnected. This doesn't happen with wired. Additionally, I can browse/use WLAN connection for hours and hours, but only if I'm logged on and see the desktop. Is this an issue with the WLAN card or Windows? I tried updating as well as reinstalling the drivers, ran a Microsoft Fix It to reset the services, verified that the power saving feature is disabled in the WLAN card, ran SFC, but all in vain.
