  • I'm bumping this subject since I've found a workaround for this problem:

Enabling attachments with DataFormWebPart on Blog template

It’s by design that it’s not possible to add attachments to a new

post item or edit an existing post item. The following is a workaround to this expected behavior:

    1.    Create a custom list (default columns)

    2.    When adding a new item to the custom list, input what you want the "attachment" name to be as the title. Click the attach button to attach the file

    3.    In the posts lists, add a new column and give it the title “Attachments” that is a lookup field to the custom list, specifically the “Title (linked to item)” column.

    4.    Edit the view for the Posts web part on the main blog page and tell it to display the lookup field. If the post is linked to an item in the custom field, you will now see the item in the footer data.
