  • Question

  • Hi,

We have SharePoint 2013 and we have created Intranet Portal into, when we open Documents uploaded in Intranet Portal i.e. PDF file then it is not opening it's showing us Blank page. Following are the information -

    Internet Explorer Version - 11.0

    SharePoint Standard 2013

    Adobe Reader DC

Following steps are already performed but no luck -

    1] Reset the IE Browser

2] Added Intranet portal URL into Trusted as well as into Compatibility mode

    3] Registry Settings - http://www.thewindowsclub.com/pdf-files-will-open-internet-explorer

4] Reinstallation of Adobe Reader Version 10

But still we are facing issue with IE 11.0 while opening PDF file in sharepoint.

    Your reply is highly appreciated.

  • Open Browser Settings and select 'Compatibility View settings' and Add the current site. See if this improves the situation.

  • Hi Arjun007,

It could have a number of causes.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Internet Options> Advanced (Security section) uncheck "Do not save encrypted pages to disk."

    2. Try removing Internet Explorer from the process. Open Adobe Reader> Edit> Preferences> Internet> uncheck "Display PDF in browser." PDF files will open in Adobe Reader, not Internet Explorer.

    3. Next, from Adobe Reader> Help, check for updates. Install available updates.

    4. Next from Adobe Reader> Help, try the "Repair" option.

    5. See other troubleshooting steps in this article:

I have found a kb, you can have a look.

  • Hi CY,

Your suggested solution is already tried, but still we are not able to open PDF files inside the browser. Interesting point is when we try to open PDF files which are published on Google.com then we are able to open PDF inside the browser but unable to open PDF files inside browsers with SharePoint Portal.

I'm still finding solution on this.

    Regards,

    Aj
