I inherited an SP 2010 farm (2 WFEs, 1 APP) and am trying to clean up the errors appearing in the Event Viewer. I get a 3760 on a DB named "Application_Registry_Service_DB_(GUID)". This DB does not exist on our SP SQL server. There is no Application_Registry_Service_DB
at all, not even a different GUID. The Application registry Service itself is turned off on all three servers and appears as Disabled. This company never had SP 2007 so this service would not be needed.
The exact error message is "SQL Database 'Application_Registry_Service_DB_(GUID)' on SQL Server instance 'ourserver\ourinstance' not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.
Cannot open database "Application_Registry_Service_DB_(GUID)" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'ourdomain\ourSPfarmaccount'."
I suspect that, after the service was turned off, the prior admin went into SQL and manually deleted the DB. So, how do I now stop this error message? I've done a search but come up empty.
