  • Question

  • Hello,

I would like to know which applications we can run in a container? Can we run SQL server or SharePoint or containers are only for IIS? Did anyone tried this and what are the benefits?

We may run most of the applications in a container, it provides operating system level virtualization that allows multiple isolated applications to be running on a single system. And of course, we may run SQL server or SharePoint or IIS in a container, most applications run in a common system can be run in a container.

The benefit will be that the applications are isolated, so that they will not affect each other and the real system.
