  • Go back to a backup of the entire system.

    Unless you have in some other way saved a copy of this subsite, it is gone. Subsites (and sites) are not added to the Recycle Bin when deleted.

  • Then you have 2 options:

    1.       To restore the content DB over the current content db, if nothing changed, added or deleted from the time of the backup

    2.       To restore the content db as a different name

    a.        Create a new Web App as a test

    b.       Central Admin->Application Management->Create or extend Web App->Create New Web App.

    c.        Remove Content Database from your new web app.

    d.       Associate restored DB with new Web App

    e.       Central Admin->Application Management->SharePoint Web Application Management->Content Databases->

    f.         use STSADM to add restored DB to this web app

                                    c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extentions\12\bin

                                    run this command from there.

                                    stsadm -o addcontentdb -url http://yourwebapp:port -databasename yourcontentdb -databaseserver yoursqlserver

    g.        Run ISSRESET from command prompt

    h.       Now you can see your deleted site, and you can migrate this site to your current web application
    you may need to use an easy tool http://www.codeplex.com/SPDeploymentWizard
