Filtering will not work in Chrome RRS feed

  • 问题

  • I have a SharePoint (365) custom list with a few records. Filtering (on the column headers) work in IE or (new) Edge but not in Chrome (which is what most here use). I tried indexing a column, but that didn't help. Any idea what is wrong?

    Thanks

  • Hi GreenCapitalist,

I have tested in Chrome at my end and filtering works as expected. Please check as following:

    1. Update your Chrome to the latest version via Ellipsis > Help > About Google Chrome. The version of Chrome I am using is Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit).

    2. Build the filter via List settings > select View > Filter and see if it works.

    3. If you are currently using modern experience, switch to classic experience in this list and see if you can get the filter to work in another experience.

    Best regards,

  • Thanks Chelsea,

I think my email notification was turned off.

I see now that the problem is only there is Classic view. But I do use Classic for several good reasons. My Chrome Ver is 81.0.4404.92. I have asked the administrator to upgrade to 83. But my desktop and remote both have this version of Chrome and Windows 10, and filtering works on the desktop but not on the remote (panasonic). I wonder what could be different?

  • Hi GreenCapitalist,

I think I have spotted similar issue recently in SharePoint classic experience. It seems to be a temporary issue, possibly related to network/service statues or browser cache, but not to Chrome or SharePoint version.
