Can't connect SQL Server 2012 Express with Visual Studio 2015. RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to connect, using Server Explorer and then Connect to Database, I get this error:

"Database schema could not be retrieved for this connection. Please make sure the connection settings are correct and that the database is online.

Could not load file or assembly ' Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Sdk.Sfc, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or none of its dependencies."

The connection seems to work (states the test connection function/button) and I can see all my databases

I have tried to install SharedManagementObjects.msi, but it dosen't make a difference.
I've noticed that this error usually occurs when using SQL Server 2014 and not 2012. The error for SS 2012 displays same error but Version=, which I have in my folder.

What can I do to get Version= or only use
