Attribute Hierarchy Visible = false @ keyColumn RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.

I have one dimension with 3 Attributes A, B and C (Key) for example.

Then I created an Hierarchy like that:

Now I want that C is not shown in the Hierarchy, so I set AttributeHierarchyVisible to false at the Properties of C and at the Properties of C in the Cube Structure.

But when I process the Cube, C is still shown at the Cube Browser.

Is it because C is my Key?

  • hello,

multi level hierarchies are "user hierarchies" build by users with "attribute hierarchies" . The "AttributeHierarchyVisible"  property is ment to hide the attribute hierachy to users because of possible confusion with the corresponding level in the user hierarchy.

You can't hide levels in a user hierarchy. But why don't you just remove the level from the hierarchy completely instead of trying to hide it

  • Ok thanks for your answer!

Is there another way hide this member in my Hierarchy?

  • Hi,

select the member(required level) in your hierarchy and right click select properties. There you can see 'HideMemberIf ' property. Check if any of the options there are suitable for your application. This would be useful in case of ragged hierarchies.

  • Thanks but I already found this option, but this is no solution for me because C has a name, has NOT the parent name,....
