Why are retired and/or offline SQL Serves showing up in my MAP scan ? RRS feed

    Hello,

    I ran a MAP scan on our network. It picked up our active servers, but it ALSO picked up SQL Servers that have been offline for at least 6 months. I made sure that they are offline, as I pinged and tried to remote desktop to them.

    How is the tool picking them up ?....can I apply a certain filter to not have them show up ?

    Hi,

    Please create a new database in MAP Toolkit and perform a fresh inventory.

    If the issue still exist then uninstall the MAP Toolkit and reinstall the application. this will solve the issue.
