    Use

     

    master
    CREATE
    CREDENTIAL [MyCredential] WITH IDENTITY = 'AS\ABC', secret = '12345^'

    Use

     

    msdb
    Sp_add_proxy @proxy_name='MyProxy', @credential_name='MyCredential'

    the above are working. i want to add more credential to "Myproxy"? is it possible
    CREATE CREDENTIAL [MyCredential1] WITH IDENTITY = 'AS\ABC1', secret = '12345^'
    CREATE CREDENTIAL [MyCredential2] WITH IDENTITY = 'AS\ABC2', secret = '12345^'

  • No, a proxy may not have more than one credential assigned to it.  You can see this by looking at the definition of the msdb.dbo.sysproxies table.  The proxy name is unique and supports only 1 credentialid per proxyid.

    This makes sense if you realize that the proxy basically logins (or 'logs in') to the server using the credential name and the secret password.  If a proxy had more that 1 credential, which one should it choose to login with?  It could not know. 

    However, it is possible for a single credential to be used for many different proxies, in case that is of use to you.
