Lost lineageID mapping after upgrading SSIS 2008 to 2016 in data conversion task RRS feed

  • Question

  • After upgrading seems like lineageId gets incorecctly mapped (or not changed for output) in "data conversion" task. Error is "cannot find input column with lineage id ...which is needed by.... Check SourceInputColumnLineageID custom property of the output column. Looks like input column gets "new" lineageId but property is not refreshed on output column in data conversion. Any ideas for fixing it besides manually?

If i take value from property from input column and set manually to output column it all works. I would expect to work without manual itervention.

  • Hi MC1803,

In general, SourceInputColumnLineageID in Data Conversion will change automatically.

However, if we encounter the error like "cannot find input column with lineage id", we can only manually change it.

    Best Regards,

    Mona
