    My laptop that I previously installed Office 2010 on died. Now i am trying to install it on my new desktop and it says the key is not valid.

    This is not an "OEM" version it is a full version. How do I get it activated on my new machine?

    Hi,

     

    What’s the edition of your Office program? Is it a retail program?

     

    According to Microsoft's EULA, if this is a retail version, we can only install one copy of software on one computer.

     

    If you encounter any problems when trying to activate the Office product, you can contact Microsoft activation center, and they will check it for you. For the detailed information on how to contact Microsoft Activation Center, you can refer to this Microsoft Knowledge base article:

    Is there a phone number to call about this program I bought?

    Is there a reason Microsoft is not answering?
