    Hi all,

    We bought 2 Office 365 E1 subscriptions from 2 different supplier and one of them will expire in 2 months. I am not able to find easy way of seeing which users have licenses from the old subscription (the only way is with powershell to filter on assignment date - please reply if you know better one). My question is can I cancel that subscription and add more licenses from the second supplier? What will happen with mailbox, onedrive files when I cancel subscription and assign new licenses after 10 min. If I am not wrong users mailbox and onedrive will be reconnected, right? When I remove subscription the mailbox will went into hard-delete state and it will remain so for 30 days right?

    You need do migration from one subscription to another, it will not go automatically.

    Hi Deni,

    If you have multiple subscriptions to the same product, such as Microsoft 365 Business Premium, canceling one of them will not impact the purchased licenses or services inside the other subscriptions.

    Hi all,

    Question was when I cancel the old subscription will the mailbox and rest of the stuff appear again when I assign license from the new subscription? If I delete subscription everything will be in soft - delete and I will have 30 days to assign license to preserve all the content, right?

    Hi Deni,

    What did you mean you bought 2 Office 365 E1 subscriptions from 2 different supplier?

    If you cancel a subscription, Admins can still sign in and access the admin center, and buy other subscriptions as needed.

    As a global or billing admin, you have 90 days to reactivate the subscription with all data intact.

    Your users won't be able to use services like OneDrive for Business, or access customer data like email or documents on team sites. Office applications, like Word and Excel, will eventually move into a read-only, reduced functionality mode and display Unlicensed Product notifications.
