I have an update query i am running between my 1st prod instance (sql 2005/64 bit) and 2nd prod instance (sql2000 sp4)
A.terminated_on = B.Emp_TermDate
JOIN [selfservice.db.smith.com].selfservice.dbo.EmployeeMaster B
A.custom0 = B.RecordID
I can execute this query fine with my 32bit sql2005 dev instance, but once i move it to production i get this error:
OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "selfservice.db.smith.com" returned message "Unspecified error".
Msg 229, Level 14, State 5, Procedure sp_tables_info_rowset_64, Line 1
EXECUTE permission denied on object 'sp_tables_info_rowset_64', database 'master', owner 'dbo'.
i have seen a few fixes on multiple sites but i do not know if they pertain to me, can someone point me in the right direction.
