SQL Server 2019(Dev Edition) on Windows Server 2012 Standard R2 RRS feed

  • I am trying to install SQL Server 2019 Developer Edition in Windows Server 2012 Standard R2 Edition, but unable to do it. Is SQL Server not support in 2012 R2 edition or do i have a patch to continue with the installation.

    You help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • To install SQL 2019, you should have Windows server 2016 and greater version only. So you will have to choose the machine which meet this prerequisite.

    Thank you for your issue .

    Windows Server 2012 Standard R2 Edition is not support to install SQL Server 2019.  Please check Hardware and software requirements for installing SQL Server 2019.
