More than one expression RRS feed

  • Question

  • Sorry if this is a basic question.................
How do you enter more than one expression for a single field?  I already have a Sum expression, I also want a FormatNumber expression (nesting)??

  • =FormatNumber(Sum(X))

  • Hello,

The expression should be of the sytan shown below.

    =Format(Sum(Fields!FieldName.Value),"N0")

It will display the number as 123,236

Can you mention what format you want?

    Hope its clear...

  • Hello,

    Try this

    =IIF(Val(Sum(Fields!SomeField.Value) ) = "" , 0,  Format(Sum(Fields!SomeField.Value),"#,0;(#,0);0"))

  • Pavan - that one doesn't work - thanks anyway!

Why isn't there just a box that we can check to show 0 values?  :(

  • Try this

    =Format(Sum(IIF(Fields!SomeField.Value="" OR ISNOTHING(Fields!SomeField.Value) ,0,Fields!SomeField.Value)),"#,0;(#,0);0")

  • This worked on the items I didn't want to Sum:

    =Format(Fields!SomeField.Value,

    "#,0;(#,0);0")

    Thanks!!
