We have 5 Windows 10 machines (M1, M2... M5) in the network. M1 is a Windows 10 Client Hyper-V which hosts a Ubuntu virtual machine.
We disabled all the firewalls (for time being) and ran MAP tool from M2 machine with below inputs
Inventory Scenario - Windows, Linux computers
Discovery Method - AD Domain Services (Selected OU), IP Address Ranges
Computer credentials - WMI (Admin credentials), SSH (root credentials)
When we generated the report (inventory and other reports), only 5 windows (M1-M5) were discovered and details were captured in the report, Ubuntu machine details are not captured.
As per "Virtual Machine Discovery" report, it was able to discover there was 1 host and 1 VM (refer diagram below). All the host related details are captured but guest machine details (OS, Domain/Workgroup, Cores, CPU) are
not captured. "SSH Status" field is also blank in the report.
We are not sure why MAP is not capturing Ubuntu virtual machines. Any suggestion/inputs will be useful for us. Also, please let us know if we are missing anything.
