The column delimiter for column 'xxxx' was not found RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am facing an issue "The column delimiter for column 'xxxx' was not found" in SSIS. I have imported SSIS package in MSDB of SQL Server 2014. It was working well in SQL Server 2012.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Rajesh,

This happens when you attempt to process a file that is different in structure than you designed the package for.

  • Hi Arthur,

    Thanks for your reply.

File has same structure still I am getting this problem. I am not sure, if this is due to importing package in MSDB and not updating package or it is using cache. The package is working fine in visual studio data tools when we are running with the same files. We are getting the issue only when we import package in MSDB and execute from there.

    Thanks,

I do not think it has the same structure across all its rows.

Open the file in EmEditor it immediately shows issues in a CSV file.

Likely you have an extra delimiter as say a comma
