MOM 2005 Backward Compatibility - can i delete ? RRS feed

  • Can someone tell me what is 'MOM 2005 Backward Compatibility' MP for? 

    Can it be safely deleted from scom (2012r2,2016) ? As i can see there are no dependencies:

    The MOM 2005 Backward Compatibility management pack is used for management packs which were converted from MOM 2005, Microsoft has even some older management packs which have dependencies to this management pack.

    This management pack would also give support for MOM 2005 management packs in SCOM 2012.

    If you have not upgraded from an older version such as MOM 2005/SCOM 2007 R2, and you don't have any dependencies, you should be quite safe to delete the management pack, it's also very old.
