Download failed for content XXX under context System, error 0x80070005 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have problem on client on secondary site with downloading package (CAP below, access denied under context system). The secondary site system is a domain controller, not sure if that might be the problem. From first site deployment works fine and when I advertise the package to users it works fine as well. Any help appriciated, thank you! Vojta

  • The error (0x80070005) means access denied. That means that the account being used to access the content on the DP is not allowed to access the content.

If the client is a workgroup client, or in a remote forest from the site server, then you may need to have created and configured a Network Access Account. See: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680398(TechNet.10).aspx

  • Thank you for the tip Wally. I have created Network Access Account and it solved my problem, although the client and server are both members of the same domain (server is a DC) so there should be no need for NAA, right?

  • If the client is in the same domain as the DP, then you shouldn't have to have it, unless the permissions/access to the DP has been restricted through some GPO or other security settings.
