SCCM 2007 R2 + 2008 ADDS = ??

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone can confirm if SCCM 2007 R2 can be used in 2008 Active Directory. I m currently reading Mastering Microsoft System Configuration Manager 2007 R2, preparing to introduce SCCM into my corporate environment. To quote the book directly:
**Under software requirments for SCCM site servers:**
"All site servers must be members of a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Active Directory domain."
This is problematic for me, because along with SCCM, we are planing on introducing SharePoint Server 2007, which will run on 2008 Active Directory. The main driver is to take advantage of RODCs.
So I pass this to the community; will SCCM 2007 R2 run on 2008 ADDS, is there a patch coming if it can't?
Cheers,
