So here is the situation. I have 3 hyper-V hosts that are connected to an Infiniband SAN for storage. The drives are mapped to each server by using IP over IB and iSCSI. I would like to map drives directly to the guest VMs but IP over IB does
not allow bridging the connection, only NAT, which hyper-v does not do. I had seen other articles that say network virtualization would allow such a thing, but I cannot find a good guide on doing that with SCVMM 2012 R2 and hyper-v 2012 R2. Is this even possible?
Or is there an easier way? I don't think I need any type of gateway as the traffic never leaves my LAN. Being that, the virtualized network would have the same IP addressing scheme as the infiniband network on the hosts, so I don't know if it's even possible.
