WSS3.0 + Forms server -> Foundation + ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    we are running a WSS3.0 + forms server and we were thinking about upgrading to Sharepoint 2010 foundation.

    Will we be able to use the forms feature without upgrading to the full Sharepoint server 2010?

    Even if it´s not an easy way, but will there be any possibility at all?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

  • Forms Server is no longer sold and is not even viable for 2007 unless you already have it.  There is no equivalent in 2010, so to utilize browser forms (including customized list forms), you have to use SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise

  • Hi Chris,

    If you want to move to SharePoint Foundation 2010, you will need to uninstall Forms Server 2007 from your existing farm first. However, to continue using InfoPath browser forms, you will need SharePoint Server 2010 (Enterprise CAL). The supported upgrade path from Forms Server 2007 to SharePoint Server 2010 is to use the content database attach upgrade method.
