  • Not sure what you mean by a Win 2008 boot image?

The boot images built into ConfigMgr SP1 are based on PE 2.1 which is Vista based and ConfigMgr SP2 boot images are PE 3.0 which are based on Win 7. Either can be used to work with Win 2008 based systems and images. There is no need to import any other boot image.

  • Code 0x80004005 - often refers to NIC issue

    Things you should do/check....

    1.  Correct NIC Driver loaded in your Boot image
    2.  Recreate a Task Sequence Boot Media CD (after performing the previous step)
