SCSM - Adding Numbers


  • When SCSM was installed last year, we started with 20000 (I'm not sure why).  All of our incidents, activities, problems, and change requests are using up the numbers pretty quickly.  Is there an easy way to extend out the number scheme to 8 or 9 numbers or it is a re-install or upgrade to SCSM 2012 to extend the numbers?

  • I'm not sure what you mean by using up the numbers quickly? The numbers for all the different work items should continue to increment and the number will dynamically expand as the count goes up.

    I've seen screenshots from where there are work items numbers in the 100,000 range.
