Win XP OSD - Capture

my n/w setup:  win 2003 sp1 dc, SCCM primary site and having win xp sp2 clients.

To deploy OSD from SCCM i created one reference computer.  for that i had done the following step-by-step.

    1) disconnect the ref system from existing domain member to workgroup.

    2) uninstall sccm client from the ref system.

    3) Copy sysprep.exe and setupcl.exe to the C:\Sysprep folder

    4) run the sysprep as sysprep.exe -quiet -mini -reseal -reboot

    5) the system was restarted and asked for all inputs like os product key etc...

    6) Again the system was restarted & entered into the new name with the inputs whic i had given.(Like from earlier from X computer name to XV new comp name).

I want to know how to capture the image from the reference computer & integrate it into sccm & deploy the sequence process. let anyone clear it step-by-step.

    Advance thanks

  • Once you sysprep the reference machine, it will always reboot into mini-setup.  Therefore, you should specify the -noreboot option instead.  Then, when sysprep completes (without rebooting this time), you can insert and reboot to a Capture Media (CD or DVD).  The documentation should explain how to create a Capture Media if you are not sure how to do this.
