  • Hi JaberMo,

What’s the current configuration in your environment, have you decommissioned Exchange server 2013?  And what’s the CU version of Exchange server 2016?

Please make sure that you can access the new user mailboxes normally via owa first.

These questions with also be confirmed with you: Does this issue occur on the outlook app or the mobile phone built-in mail app? And do all OS and IOS users have this issue?

And I will recommend you to follow the below points to troubleshoot:

    a. What’s the result if you run the Exchange ActiveSync Connectivity Test in the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer?

    b. Use the following command to find the ActiveSync access is enabled successfully for the new user mailboxes, you can refer to Enable or disable Exchange ActiveSync access to mailboxes in Exchange Server :

    Get-CasMailbox -Identity "<MailboxIdentity>"

    c. Use the following cmdlets to view the ActiveSync service has been configured the right URL and hostname, and the hostname has been added into the certificate:

    Get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory -Server <servername> | fl

    Get-ExchangeCertificate | fl DnsNameList

    d. You can browse to Troubleshoot ActiveSync with Exchange Server website, it will ask you the issue you are facing and provide a series of troubleshooting steps, it will be helpful for your problem.

    e. Try Starting and Stopping Services and recycling MSExchangeSyncAppPool in the IIS

    f. You can refer to article Step-by-step guide for migrating Exchange Server 2013 to 2016 to review the migration steps and check if you have missed something , and also attach the article 2 proven ways to fix error “Cannot Verify Server Identity” in iPhone & iOS for your reference.

If the above suggestions don’t solve your problem, could you provide the screenshot of the error message and the related logs in the event viewer?

    Regards,

    Vincy Cao
