SCSM 2012 Service Request Template ID RRS feed

  • Is there a way to find out the Template ID of a Service Request Template?

  • You could export the management pack where the template is stored and look for it on the xml file (look for TemplateId).

    As far as I know, the Template ID is not being used in the Service Request items... I'm setting that value up manually.

  • If you need the Guid ID of the template then you can use PowerShell and SMLets:

    Get-SCSMObjectTemplate | ? {$_.DisplayName -eq "Template display Name from Console"} | select Id

  • Well the ID taht I need is the Template ID not the GUID. Is there a way to find it using PowerShell?

  • This is an old but relevant post, and I wanted to share a common misconception here. There is no Template ID available for custom SR templates, but you can edit the management pack to include it.

    After making this small modification I am able to leverage the Template ID like any other field in my notification subscription workflows.
