discovery wizard does not show linux option RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to deploy a linux agent on SUSE 11 but following the instructions in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd788943.aspx. After importing the linux management packs, it say to do this:

In the Computer and Device Management Wizard , select Discovery Type , choose Unix/Linux Discovery Wizard , and then click Next

However when I try, the only options I see are "Windows Comuters" and "Network Devices".

  • Are you on Operations Manager 2007 R2? Unix/Linux discovery is only supported on R2, not 2007 SP1.
