Old system names still in database RRS feed

  • Good Morning. I have been alerted to an issue which I have a workaround for but I still want to ask the reason for.

    There are managed entity ID's in the database for systems which havnen't been online since 2013.  There is no agent and the name doesn't appear on the "Windows Computers" or anywhere else in the console that I can see.  It was creating erroneous numbers in a report and I am wondering why that data is still there?

    This "can" sometimes happen when for example:

    • An agent's operating system changes.
    • Deleting a management server.
    • Deleting an agent.

    In the database table you will find a column "IsDeleted", which can have the value of either "0" or "1".
    The value zero ("0") means that the database is unaware of the server being deleted.
