In application log on DP I found

Access to the root\MicrosoftIISv2 namespace was denied because the namespace is marked with RequiresEncryption but the script or application attempted to connect to this namespace with an authentication level below Pkt_Privacy. Change the authentication level to Pkt_Privacy and run the script or application again.

Is that DP still up and running? Or does it belong to the site that you removed a few days ago?

  • For correct information :I did not remove a site but a site server it was removed, reinstalled windows aand then added again to SCCM.

It is still up and running.. it worked for a couple of hours and suddenly I started to receive has failure errors on all few pacakges so I was intended to remove native mode any way so I removed native mode ... Then this morning this DP stopped working.. Had this failure last time also ...

IIS stopped so therefor could not find is explained.. but what with the error in application log..

Access to the root\MicrosoftIISv2 namespace was denied because the namespace is marked with RequiresEncryption but the script or application attempted to connect to this namespace with an authentication level below Pkt_Privacy. Change the authentication level to Pkt_Privacy and run the script or application again.

  • It also gives this error in the systemlog

The Windows Process Activation Service service terminated with the following error:

    The data is invalid.

Running without bits makes the DP work but that is not wanted ...

Because I had this before I hope to get this failure solved..

I dont know what crashed my applicationhost.config file but I luckely had a backup of it.. I copied it and am able to start IIS.. now see to get BITS working again..
