  • OK, you didn't ask anything though so it was unclear what you wanted.

    1) Don't know because none of the settings you called out have anything to do with BITS or your MWs but assuming those are set correctly, then yes. Note that you should be using group policy to configure BITS though and not client agent settings in ConfigMgr.

    2) Based on the settings that you have above, as noted, yes.

    Suggestion for what? You have just listed a bunch of facts. The configuration you propose matches what desired result though assuming that you have a MW applicable to the targeted systems with the specified times configured.

  • Hi Jason,

    this is my point. I have done above task and need to know if this correct approach to acheive;

    1)Client PC install patch 6 AM To 9 PM (1024) BITS throttling. Between 9 PM To 6 AM Full Speed.

    2)Computer Restart only in maintenance Windows which is 9 PM to 5.30 AM Every day.

  • for BITS, i am using client setting so our workstation can download patch as per defined in BITS Settings.

    our main goal is to acheive no impact on production when patch is downloading from SCCM server and computer restart its only on MW Which daily 9 PM to 4.30 AM

  • As noted, the preferred method of configuring BITS is to use group policy (or set the applicable registry values). This is because the BITS settings configured by client settings in ConfigMgr are legacy settings and not the best way to configure BITS.

    One note here though to be clear, MWs do not affect content download.

  • If you are referring to the options in the screenshots above by the OP, then yes. Keep in mind that 1802 it's at (or very near) its end of life though and you need to upgrade ASAP to be supported.
