SCCM distribution of Windows Live: Photo Gallery

    Question

  • Hi,

I am using SCCM 2007 and trying to distribute just the Photo Gallery element of it.  I have read a few articles on using the AppSelect switch, but when running this locally on my machine to test- I still get the install wizard splash screen asking what components I want to install.

The command line I am running on Win 7 machine is:

    c:\...packagedirectory\wlsetup-all.exe /AppSelect:PhotoGallery

    Any recommendations gratefully received.

    Thanks.

  • Check the below link. Though it says about Installing on Windows 8, I used the command line to install on my Windows 7 machine. It worked. Windows Live Photo Gallery & Movie Maker got installed (silently). Test it from manually and from SCCM on a test machine first.

Based on that post, that command-line is not sufficient.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the responses. The link to PC load letter was very useful and the command line there seems to work a treat.

    Thanks again!
