SCOM 2007 R2 on W2K8-R2 with SQL 2005

  • Hello,

This is a new install for me.  I have been unsuccessful in finding docs that support this install.  I will keep looking.

The SCOM 2007 R2 sever is a stand-alone server.  The Operation DB server is another server that has the OnePoint DB for MOM 2005.  MOM 2005 is installed on a separate server.

I am not planning to marry the SCOM with the MOM, except would like the DB for both to be on the same back-end DB svr (the DB instance will be the same, however, the DB itself will be unique).  Also, as the older MOM clients are upgraded to W2K8 and above, I will be migrating each client to the SCOM 2007 R2 svr.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated.  Thanks

  • This a forum of System Center Service Manager. Your question looks like it's more related to the System Center Operations Manager. So maybe it's better to post your question in one of the  System Center Operations Manager forums: System Center Operations Manager forums
