  • At a minimum, SCVMM 2008 requires a Windows 2003 functional-level domain to install.

  • Hi ,
I didn't find any reference to such prerequisite in the SCVMM documentation .
I've also opened a case with PSS and even if it's almost clear that such problem can be related to domain functional level they also agreed on the fact that were no mention of that in the documentation .

    thanks

  • I had the exact problem and I was able to solve it. \
1)Domain must be in Win 2003 mode
    2) I disabled my antivirus during Installation
    3) Add to Administrator Group the built in account NETWORK SERVICES
    4) VMM 2008 uses Kerberos Auth so in Server Manager >> Configuration >> WMI Control >> Properties >> Security (tab)
I give full rights to LOCAL and NETWORK SERVICES accounts to the VMM Folders

    I hope this can help!

    Best Regards

    Eric
