    Question

  • when I use remote desktop in configmgr 2007 r2 it always asks for permission before it connects. Is this normal?

  • Remote Desktop isn't really a part of ConfigMgr, you are just provided with a quick shortcut to launch it from a resource's context menu. Thus, any behavior you see is the result of the actual Remote Desktop client and server authentication. Thus whether it's normal or not is based upon your environment and not ConfigMgr. If you launch the Remote Desktop client outside of the ConfigMgr console and connect, are you prompted for credentials before the connection?

  • yes...thanks for the quick response. I thought in the past it did not ask and i had changed some setting in configmgr that broke the permissions.
