Where is the output data of a Rule stored in SCOM database? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Our client wants us to develop custom reports on SCOM Server. For example, Get the Application, Security and System Log file Current size, % usage, Maximum size, rentention period and Server name. All these details have to be shown in a custom report.

Here, I have 2 doubts. First one is: When I write just a script file, I get all the values perfect when I execute the VBS File. But, If we want to place the script in a 'Performance Collection" Rule, it will return only one value through Property Bag. Is there any way that we can return more than one value from a rule?

Second thing is, while executing this rule, the output values must have been stored somewhere in the database of SCOM. In Rules table, I am able to see my rule that is created, and in Performance Rule table I am able to see the object name that is associated with the Rule. But, I want to see where the value for the object is stored in the database.

    Thanks,

    Chandralekha.
